BEFORE STARTING THE FORKLIFT CHECK THE FOLLOWING
1. TYRES: Check all tyres and look for any visual wear or damage and for pneumatic types, inflation. YesNo
2. FLUIDS: Check engine oil, hydraulics, brake fluid, battery, fuel and coolant. YesNo
3. SEATING: Check condition and adjustment of seating. YesNo
4. CAPACITY: Check load-capacity plate is fitted, legible and correct (is rated for all lifting attachments). YesNo
5. FORKS: Inspect forks for any sign of damage, wear or deformation. YesNo
6. GUARDING: Check guarding is in place and functional, e.g. around the battery compartment or fuel lines. YesNo
7. LP GAS CYLINDER: Check cylinder is secured in place and safety relief valve is at 12 o’clock, no smell of gas. YesNo
8. BODY: Check for damage to body, frame, panel and other YesNo
AFTER STARTING THE FORKLIFT CHECK THE FOLLOWING
9. SEATBELT: Make sure seatbelt securely fastens. YesNo

11. CONTROLS: Check all pedals and controls including steering. YesNo
12. MAST: Check mast (lift and tilt systems) for any wear to lift chains, cables and guides, inspect hydraulic cylinders, look for any leaks, and whether limiters are operating properly and safely. YesNo
13. BRAKES: Check brakes and parking brake for proper operation. YesNo
