    Check the WAVE each day before use

    1. BATTERY: Check the battery is charged.
    (See the operator’s manual for battery charging and service information).

    2. WHEELS: Check all wheels in good condition.

    3. LEAKS: Look into and under the vehicle for signs of leaks.

    4. WARNING SYSTEMS: Turn the key to ON. See that the “beeper” and all
    display lights are working. Try the horn.

    5. POWER DISCONNECT: Make sure the power disconnect works.

    6. OPTIONS: See that all options are working if your vehicle is so equipped.

    7. DAMAGE: Check your vehicle for any damage that could be a hazard to
    you or to people around you.

    8. SERVICE PANEL: Make sure the service panel door is closed.

    9. PLATFORM: Check raise and lower. Platform should not elevate above
    500 mm (20 inches) with gates open.

    10. STEERING: Make sure the steering is smooth.

    11. FORWARD/REVERSE: Drive the vehicle slowly in both directions.

    12. SPEED: Drive through the full speed range, in forward and reverse. In forward, and with platform lowered, the speed should be slower with gates closed.

    13. STOPPING DISTANCE: Check stopping distance in forward and reverse. Caution, travel speed, load weight and floor conditions can affect stopping distance. Know the distance it takes to stop before you start working. If the stopping distance is too long to stop safely, don’t drive the vehicle.

    14. ALARMS & LIGHTS: If you vehicle is equipped with optional alarm or
    flashing lights, make certain they are working.

    15. Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to your supervisor
